Brianna here! Today was a Monday like no other—I spilt my coffee three times, J was angry, a little violent, and emotional, and H was a crying mess that logged 30 total minutes of napping (compared to a typical ~3 hours each day). But, man, I sure enjoyed that Five Guys burger and fries (cooked in peanut oil) yesterday for lunch. And, I know for a FACT, J enjoyed that “glu-TEN (and dairy/blue dye) cake” that he divulged in at the birthday party we attended Saturday.
Try as I may, it’s so difficult to prevent my kiddos from eating things that don’t vibe well with them. From French fries cooked in peanut oil to blue dye, my kids have varying issues with food—H with nuts and dairy (among others, ::sigh::), J with gluten, dairy and dyes. Up until recently there wasn’t much I could do when I knew we had eaten something that was going to cause issues. We took a ‘sit back and wait’ approach to dealing with The Let Down, as my husband lovingly calls it.
Now? I am so glad that we have something to DO. While we ride the wave of The Let Down, we have a few tools to help us out. Enter: Purification and high quality Epsom salt.
Who doesn’t enjoy a warm bath, but throw in some specially made bath salts and you’ve got yourself a gentle detox and a bedtime routine.
In a small bowl, mix Epsom salt and Purification until combined. Add to a warm bath. Enjoy!
See?! Wasn’t that easy? Sometimes I get lazy and don’t pre-mix. But, when you mix the oil and salt together first, it helps disperse the oils better in the bath water.
This would also make a great foot soak!
